Following former Vice President Al Gore's film An Inconvenient Truth winning an Oscar for best documentary film, and his being awarded a Nobel prize along with the IPCC for their collective work, Marc Trudel was taught by Mr. Gore, along with Dr. David Suzuki and a group of scientists, educators, and communication specialists from The Climate Project to become "climate change messenger" and help spread the word about global warming across Canada. Along with 250 other Canadians, he was selected from thousands of applicants to participate in training sessions sponsored by The Climate Project Canada. Attendees received presentation skills training and educational resources for sharing with others. They also received an intensive overview of the science of global warming. This training provides Trudel with the resources to conduct special versions of Gore's famous global warming slide show that is the basis for An Inconvenient Truth. |

Expect to be moved and motivated.
Marc's presentation is a customized live version of the slideshow used by Al Gore in his Academy Award-winning documentary, “An Inconvenient Truth”, with updated slides and local references covering:
- What is global warming?
- Where are the warning signs?
- When will things improve?
- Why does climate change affect Canadians?
- Who or whatis causing global warming?
And….what are some meaningful solutions?
The presentation, lasting between 1 and 2 hours, contains spectacular photographs, clear charts and tables, video animations and sound effects. The overall goal is to impact audiences, offer hope and - most importantly - motivate commitment and action. The only costs are the speaker’s expenses. |
